COVID-19 Outbreak

 

Dear Friends & Family of Calvary Place

 

It seems like it was only a few days ago where I sent an email stating that our outbreak was over.

 

Unfortunately, I have to be the bearer of bad news (again). At this time, the 3rd Floor North Unit has a COVID-19 Outbreak.

 

Type of Precautions : Enhanced contact + droplet.

Please note that the following Outbreak Measures are in place until further notice:

  • Masks are Mandatory for all visitors and staff.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (gowns, gloves, visors) is mandatory in isolated residents’ room according to additional precautions signage.

Virtual visits encouraged

 

– All visitors to the Outbreak Unit are required to wear a medical mask and other PPE according to the additional precautions of resident they visit.

– General visitors are not permitted during an outbreak, except in End of Life situations.

– Designated Caregiver (DC) access to symptomatic residents will continue during an outbreak.

– Consideration of virtual visits is encouraged, however the importance of designated caregivers to meet care needs of the patient/resident remains a priority. Guidance on required PPE will be provided by staff.
