MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN DYING

 In partnership with all who derive their ethics and morals exclusively from the Biblical Scriptures, the members of the Heritage Benevolent Association of Manitoba Inc. (owner of Calvary Place Personal Care Home) are convinced that God is the Author and Giver of Life and alone possesses the authority to determine its termination.

 Therefore, the owners and governors of Calvary Place serve notice that NO Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) will be offered in or at Calvary Place at any time, or by anyone legally representing Calvary Place.

 Further, our medical staff, nursing staff, Allied Health Services staff, Chaplain and any other Calvary Place employees are prohibited from referring residents, families or tenants to physicians or other agents for the expressed purpose of performing a physician-assisted death, or counselling those residents, families or tenants to seek physicians or agents for the expressed purpose of performing a physician-assisted death.

 Calvary Place will continue to offer the highest level of medical care to the terminally ill and support our residents with end-of-life care to the best of our ability. Our excellence in offering such service has been well documented over the years.
